Holly A

Holly (she/they) was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and has lived in the Western NC Mountains since 2016. After a life-changing trip to Grand Teton National Park at age 13 with her dad, she became totally enamored with the outdoors and knew she wanted to build a career in outdoor education. She attended Appalachian State University and has a B.S. in Recreation Management with a concentration in Outdoor Experiential Education and a minor in Psychology. She’s worked for Outward Bound Professional, as a trip leader for Mountain Alliance and Appalachian State, as a climbing coach for youth, and as full time staff at Asheville Parks & Recreation. She likes to spend her time climbing, hiking, whitewater kayaking, and otherwise exploring the Appalachian Mountains! Holly has been trained as a Wilderness First Responder and is a CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor. Holly is joining Bold Earth for her third season!
