Kayla F

Trip Leader: Croatia and Montenegro 1 & 2

Growing up in Keystone, Colorado, Kayla cultivated a deep love of skiing, hiking, and an ever evolving curiosity for travel and adventure. Kayla holds a BA in Animal Studies (with minors in Spanish and Biology) from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. There, she led research on African Elephants and volunteered with various animal care and rehabilitation organizations. Some of Kayla’s travel highlights include a study abroad homestay in Spain, and experiences traveling through Tanzania, Morocco, Guatemala, and various Caribbean islands. She has spent several summers leading students in scientific inquiry through hiking experiences at Keystone Science School. Currently, she promotes ocean conservation and action in her role as an educator at the Downtown Aquarium in Denver. In her free time, you’ll likely find Kayla outside, but indoors you can find her learning to cook, practicing yoga, reading, or hanging out with her cats. Kayla has been trained as a wilderness first responder, a lifeguard, and a PADI Rescue Diver. She can’t wait to go exploring with young travelers this summer!
