Miriam H

Trip leader: Hawaii Adventure 1

A North Carolinian native, Miriam was born and raised at the base of the Appalachian mountains and grew up living and loving all things outdoors. She stayed in-state for her undergraduate studies and graduate school where she earned a Masters in Spanish Language and Literature. This gave her the opportunity to travel to many Spanish-speaking countries where she has led outdoor adventure programs, taught English and Spanish, and pursued her love for exploring new cultures and communities! Since graduating in 2018, Miriam has worked as a middle and high school Spanish teacher, a Spanish adjunct faculty at the University of Denver and the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and has led study abroad groups. Miriam is a wilderness first responder and first-year Bold Earth trip leader.
