Founded in 1976, Bold Earth has more than 43 years of experience as a leader in teen travel summer camps. We specialize in small-group travel that allows us to go places other groups can’t. We have facilitated more than 20,000 (and counting) successful teen tours for our students; along the way, we have accumulated a great depth of knowledge and experience in the industry and a well-earned reputation for our careful attention to our students and families.

We have operated on the Big Island of Hawaii for 25-plus years. Our goal has always been to provide a safe, authentic experience that develops a passion for adventure and travel in our students. In order to do this well, we have split up our Hawaii teen adventure camps according to age. Please explore the options below to find the perfect Hawaii tour for you.

Note: The two Hawaii trips below are identical. The only difference is the age of the participants, the order of activities, and date availability. All the accommodations are camping with access to bathroom facilities.

Ultimate Hawaii

Beaches, mountains, and Hawaiian culture

Ultimate Hawaii has been one of Bold Earth’s most popular trips for decades. This 18-day teen tour circumnavigates the Big Island. Students will explore Hawaiian culture while surfing the coast and ziplining through the mountains.

This 18-day trip is identical to the Ultimate Hawaii program. We split up trips according to age so that students can share their adventure with their peer group.
